At Cafcass, our purpose is to be the voice of children and young people in the family court. We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our HR Business Partnering team, playing a key role in delivering people strategy and operational HR support across a complex national organisation.

As a HR Business Partner, you will operate as a credible senior HR professional working closely with senior leaders and management teams. You will deliver both strategic and operational HR outcomes, acting as a genuine business partner to service areas and contributing to organisational performance and service delivery. This role sits within a nationally dispersed HR and OD team and will involve regular travel across regions as required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide timely, accurate and robust advice across a full range of HR issues, including complex employee relations casework.
  • Lead and support organisational change and restructuring programmes, including business cases and impact assessments.
  • Provide expert guidance to decision-makers throughout formal HR procedures.
  • Support workforce planning and use data to identify trends and inform people strategies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR services and organisational outcomes.

Strong experience within HR Business Partnering or a senior HR advisory role is essential, along with sound knowledge of employment law, HR policy and employee relations.

Be part of an organisation that makes a real difference to children and families, offering flexible hybrid working supported by strong wellbeing initiatives, an inclusive and diverse working environment committed to equality and representation, and the opportunity to work on high-impact organisational change and workforce challenges. This role requires regular nationwide travel and flexibility to support service needs.

Applications will only be considered from candidates based within the West or East Midlands due to travel and training requirements. Cafcass is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment.

If you are an experienced HR professional looking to make a meaningful impact within a national organisation, we encourage you to apply.
