Housing Allocations Advisor
£29,540 to £32,061 per annum, pro rata
Fixed Term, full time x 37 hours
Creating safe homes and communities where our customers can thrive is a key priority for us here at East Devon District Council. To help us do this we are now looking for customer focused colleagues to join our Housing Allocations teams.
As our Housing Allocations Advisor, what will you be doing?
In this role you\’ll join our Allocations team who are responsible for helping people find a suitable home and ensuring that our available properties are advertised and allocated in a timely manner in line with the Housing Service objective of the right person for the right property. As part of the Housing Allocations team you will be the first point of contact for our customers and will be responsible for providing a responsive and pro-active service to housing register applicants and tenants requiring housing.
To be considered for this role you will be experienced in handling customer enquiries and have a strong sense of how these communications impact an organisation. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are essential, as is the ability to tailor these communications to a broad range of audiences.
Whilst previous experience is useful, we want people who are customer focussed and understand the importance of working collaboratively with teams across the Council to ensure good outcomes for our customers.
