A public‑sector organisation within Children’s Services is seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join their Finance team. The role plays a key part in supporting strategic decision‑making, financial performance, and the delivery of high-quality services for children and families. You will report to the Head of Finance and take responsibility for the leadership of the Payments Team, delivery of budget monitoring, production of financial information, and ensuring effective use of funding streams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial insight including monthly management accounts, forecasts, and professional advice
- Lead annual budget‑setting and business planning
- Review and enhance financial processes, business systems, and controls (Oracle)
- Manage and support the Payments Team
- Maximise income generation opportunities
- Develop and implement financial regulations and procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / CIPFA)
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Passion for supporting improved outcomes for children and young people
