Responsibilities:
- Delivery of resident care for their physical and emotional well-being.
- Participating in staffing decisions, planning work assignments, ensuring residents receive proper assistance and care.
- Providing liaison between health care providers, residents, and resident families.
- Carrying out Resident Aide responsibilities to the extent necessary.
- Following all facility policies and applying them uniformly to all employees.
- Ensuring the highest degree of quality care for residents at all times.
- Scheduling all staff and maintaining upkeep on schedule regarding call-offs, terminations, and vacation.
- Assisting with planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing facility’s programs and activities.
- Completing all Employee and Residents Chart Audits at least once per month to comply with state regulations.
- Completing all cart audits for resident medication, documentation, and discharging outdated meds properly.
- Ensuring resident well-being; providing high-quality care tailored to person-centred needs.
- Having current medication administration training and completing care partner training and observations.
- Informing residents, families, and financial POA of any changes to resident LOCA.
- Completing all check request forms and providing administration approval on all purchases.
- Promoting quality care and teamwork.
- Overseeing clinical aspects of resident care.
- Leading and influencing staff positively to meet productivity and quality expectations.
- Serving as ambassador for the personal care community.
- Accurately recording resident’s vital signs: temperature, respirations, pulse.
- Reviewing and monitoring documentation for accuracy, safety procedures, residents’ rights, and care plans with recommended changes.
- Obtaining physician’s written orders and coordinating medication plans with pharmacy, family, resident, and ensuring strict adherence to policies and regulations.
- Documenting medication changes.
- Making pertinent resident observations, recognizing emergencies, seeking guidance appropriately, and participating in support plan meetings.
- Interpreting facility policies and procedures to employees, residents, family, visitors, government agencies, etc., as necessary.
