We are seeking a motivated and capable Project Manager to join a growing, fast-paced organisation delivering complex programmes within the aerospace sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with an engineering background and current project management experience who is looking to take the next step in their career within a dynamic, globally focused business.

The Role

You will be involved across the full project lifecycle, from supporting and leading bid activities through to the successful delivery of long-term programmes. The role centres on the planning, monitoring, and control of multiple projects, ensuring delivery to time, cost, and quality standards in line with established Quality Management System (QMS) and internal project management procedures. Based in Bristol, this role offers a hybrid working model, combining office presence with remote working, alongside occasional travel to client sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of aerospace projects in line with company processes and governance
  • Contribute to bid activities, including proposal development, estimating, and pricing; lead bids where appropriate
  • Develop and maintain key project documentation, including Project Charters, Project Management Plans (PMPs), schedules, budgets, and tracking tools
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks in accordance with defined procedures
  • Monitor and control project performance across time, cost, and quality metrics
  • Produce and manage project financial data, including forecasts, estimates at completion, and invoicing
  • Plan and coordinate resource requirements, supporting wider business forecasting and resource levelling
  • Engage and manage stakeholders across internal teams, customers, and suppliers
  • Control and manage contract changes, ensuring compliance with agreed processes
  • Proactively report and escalate risks, issues, and potential challenges
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and the adoption of best practice in project management

Candidate Profile

  • Degree-qualified in Engineering, Science, Technology, Mathematics, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrable experience in project management within an engineering or technical environment
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM, PMP) is desirable
