Penn Chambers is a boutique law firm specialising in Family Law and Wills, Trusts & Probate, Dispute Resolution. We pride ourselves on delivering highly specialist, bespoke legal advice with a strong strategic focus and exceptional client care. Our reputation is built on excellence, discretion, and results – and we are now seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to join our team in our new Maidstone office.

Our Family team advises mid-net-worth clients (typically £2–10M) on the full spectrum of family law matters. We do not undertake legal aid work.

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to join a successful firm where you will manage a varied caseload, work directly with clients, and take ownership of your career development.

This is a full-time, office-based role (Monday–Friday). Remote or hybrid working is not offered.

About You | Requirements:

We are looking for a solicitor who brings both technical skill and a passion for family law.

Essential:

  • Qualified Family Solicitor with at least 3 years’ PQE.
  • Broad experience in family law, including divorce, financial settlements, and Children Act matters.
  • Proven ability to manage a full caseload independently.
  • Strong technical knowledge and a high standard of client care.
  • Current, clean SRA practising certificate.
  • Good LPC pass (or equivalent).

Preferred:

  • Advocacy experience, or a clear desire to develop advocacy skills (interlocutory and pre-trial applications).
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work autonomously.

Location: Maidstone (office-based).

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.
