Responsibilities
Work under the direction of the SENCO to support students with special educational needs, helping them access learning, achieve their potential, and develop independence.
Provide tailored support to students with a range of needs, including cognition, learning, communication, interaction, social, emotional, mental health, sensory, and physical needs.
Work closely with individual students and small groups, adapt learning activities, implement support strategies, and assist teachers in delivering an inclusive curriculum.
Provide support during core lessons and at flexible times such as before school, during social periods, and after school where appropriate.
Play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, promoting engagement, confidence, and positive outcomes both academically and personally.
Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff, families, and external agencies to implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), SEND support plans, and targeted interventions.
Qualifications and Skills
