POST: Minister of Religion/Pastor

A growing multi-national Pentecostal Church in Crewe, England seeks to employ a Minister of Religion/Pastor. The candidate must have experience working with children and be able to teach and mentor the word of God (Bible). You must be a born-again Christian, believe in Jesus Christ as the only begotten son of God, the Holy Spirit and the Holy bible as the word of God. The successful candidate must understand the Afro-Caribbean culture (should be able to speak at least one local language), and be able to minister to the need peculiar to that ethnic group. We are looking for a dynamic and spiritually driven individual to join our ministry as a Minister of Religion. This role is essential in leading our congregation, nurturing spiritual growth, and contributing to the overall welfare of our church. You must have a deep commitment to ministry, strong leadership qualities, and a passion for serving others.
Responsibilities
- Lead prayer, preach and teach the Gospel with clarity, relevance, and biblical authenticity.
- Develop sermon materials and resources to lead the congregation in praise, worship and prayers
- Conducts services in accordance with our Christian Statement of Belief
- Provide spiritual guidance and pastoral care to individuals and families within the congregation.
- Counsel and support members facing personal, spiritual, or relational challenges.
- Engage actively with the community, building relationships and representing the church in outreach efforts.
- Develop and implement discipleship programs to nurture the spiritual growth of individuals within the congregation.
- Provide spiritual education through Bible studies, workshops, and other learning initiatives.
- Work closely with other Pastors and church leaders to determine the most effective ways to meet identified needs.
- Undertake administrative and social duties including meetings, planning, and decision-making as required
Qualifications
- Must be a born-again Christian, believe in Jesus Christ as the only begotten son of God, the Holy Spirit and the Holy bible as the word of God
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English Language
- Ability to lead, participate in church services, and speak publicly
- Knowledge of the West African/Caribbean culture (at least ability to speak one local African language), and ability to minister to the need peculiar to that ethnic group is desirable.
- Ordination or certification as a minister within a relevant religious body.
- Proven experience in pastoral ministry and leadership in an ethnically diverse congregation is desirable
- A Bachelor’s degree or qualification equivalent of level 6
- Minimum of 5 years in pastoral ministry and leadership
Additional Notes
- Must be willing to work evenings and Sundays
- On-call pastoral care may be required
- Occupational requirement: practising Christian (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9)
