A leading independent multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint a Graduate Transport Planner to join its growing Transport Planning team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate or early-career Transport Planner with at least one year's industry experience to develop their technical skills, work on a varied project portfolio and progress their career within an established consultancy. You'll work across a broad range of sectors including residential, education, healthcare, commercial, leisure, regeneration and masterplanning, supporting projects across the UK and internationally.
The Role
As a Graduate Transport Planner, you'll gain exposure to a range of transport planning projects and work closely with experienced consultants and wider multidisciplinary teams. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
- Supporting the delivery of Travel Plans and associated initiatives
- Analysing collision data, traffic data and travel patterns
- Contributing to transport strategies and road safety audits
- Using industry-standard software including TRICS, AutoCAD, Vehicle Tracking, Junctions 10 and LinSig
- Working collaboratively with planners, engineers and other built environment professionals
- Supporting the delivery of projects from initial assessment through to completion
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 1 year's experience within Transport Planning
- Some practical experience using AutoCAD
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team
- Graduate membership of CIHT or ICE would be advantageous
- An MSc in Transport Planning or TPP qualification would be desirable
