Our client is a long-established and highly respected mechanical services contractor specialising in communal heating systems, commercial heating plant, and domestic heating installations. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an additional engineer to join their close-knit and professional team.

With plenty of overtime available, engineers regularly have the opportunity to earn in excess of £5,000 per month, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to significantly increase their annual earnings.

The Role

This is a varied role combining commercial pipework installation, heating breakdowns, fault finding, and maintenance across both commercial buildings and high-end residential communal heating systems. You'll work on a wide range of equipment including communal heating systems, plant rooms, heating pipework, HIUs, pumps, cylinders, radiators, and associated mechanical equipment. No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for an engineer who enjoys both installation and diagnostic work.

Duties Include

  • Commercial heating pipework installation and repairs
  • Breakdown attendance and fault finding
  • Installation and replacement of pumps, valves, and cylinders
  • HIU installation, servicing, and repairs
  • Heating system diagnostics
  • Commercial and domestic pipework repairs
  • Plant room maintenance
  • Mechanical fault finding
  • Planned and reactive maintenance
  • Completing electronic job reports
  • Participating in a 1-in-6 out-of-hours call-out rota

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in producing quality work, and is confident working independently. Ideally you'll have:

  • Experience working on commercial and domestic heating systems
  • Strong pipefitting and plumbing knowledge
  • Experience carrying out breakdowns and fault finding
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating
  • Good understanding of communal heating systems
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Living within a commutable distance of Wandsworth

Salary & Benefits

£40,000-£45,000 Basic Salary with realistic earnings of £5,000+ per month with overtime. Additional benefits include:
