Are you a Geotechnical Engineer looking to join a growing multidisciplinary consultancy where you'll have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of geotechnical and geoenvironmental projects? Our client is a well-established consultancy with a close-knit team of specialists delivering high-quality geotechnical and environmental solutions across the residential and commercial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Geotechnical Engineer to support their expanding project portfolio.

The Role

You will join a small to medium-sized team, working closely with experienced geotechnical and geoenvironmental professionals on projects ranging from housing developments to commercial and mixed-use schemes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and managing ground investigation projects.
  • Interpreting ground investigation data and laboratory test results.
  • Producing geotechnical assessment reports and foundation recommendations.
  • Undertaking slope stability, earthworks and settlement assessments.
  • Supporting geoenvironmental assessments and contaminated land projects.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies.
  • Assisting with project management and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Mentoring junior staff where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geology, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience within a geotechnical or multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
  • Strong report writing and technical interpretation skills.
  • Understanding of geotechnical design principles and site investigation practices.
  • Knowledge of contaminated land and geoenvironmental assessments would be advantageous.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
