We are seeking a motivated and proactive Ground Remediation Engineer to support the planning and delivery of remediation projects across sites nationwide. This role combines handsāon contaminated land, site work with technical reporting and offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of environmental remediation schemes.
As a Ground Remediation Engineer, you will work closely with Senior Scientists, Site Managers, and Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly, and to a high technical standard. The role is well suited to someone who enjoys fieldābased work, problemāsolving, and collaborating across technical teams.
Key Duties and Responsibilities- Operate and maintain field equipment for soil and environmental sampling
- Log soils accurately and record environmental observations on site
- Collect, collate, analyse, and report siteābased technical data as directed
- Support the planning and execution of remediation activities on site
- Liaise with site visitors, including regulators and other stakeholders
- Procure technical consumables and equipment required for site works
- Participate in internal and external project meetings
- Support Site Managers and Project Managers in the delivery of onsite works
- Assist with auditing and compliance under the company's Mobile Treatment Permit
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
We are looking for a Ground Remediation Engineer with a positive attitude, strong analytical and problemāsolving skills. Applicants should have excellent communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and hold a full UK driving licence with the flexibility to travel nationwide.
A working knowledge of environmental permitting regulations, site operations, and health and safety practices is essential. Related academic qualifications, Asbestos Awareness, and CSCS certification are desirable.
