This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established consultancy delivering high-quality flood risk and drainage solutions for residential, commercial and infrastructure projects across the UK, with clear progression and structured support toward chartership.
As a Flood Modeller, you will take a leading role in the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments, hydraulic modelling and mitigation design, working closely with planners, civil engineers and external stakeholders to deliver robust, buildable and policy-compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Flood Risk Assessments and hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller Pro, TUFLOW and HEC-RAS
- Undertake hydrological analysis using FEH methods, WINFAP and ReFH
- Prepare drainage strategies, SuDS layouts and planning support information
- Liaise with Lead Local Flood Authorities, Environment Agency and statutory consultees
- Support pre-purchase feasibility and discharge of planning conditions
- Use GIS and CAD tools to support modelling and reporting
- Manage your own projects to programme and budget
- Contribute to technical quality, reporting and client communication
About You
- Experience in flood risk, hydrology or drainage modelling within a UK consultancy
- Confident with FEH, hydraulic modelling software and FRA delivery
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organised, proactive and keen to take technical ownership
- Working toward chartership with CIWEM, ICE or similar
