We have an urgent requirement for an experienced Technical Design Engineer with specific knowledge of noise control products to assist in the expansion of a UK leading organisation that provides bespoke acoustics solutions to the commercial sector. The company specialise in developing and introducing innovative products that allow clients to carry out their testing and research projects in perfect confidence that they are working with the best acoustic products anywhere. The role will require providing technical guidance in relation to these acoustic products and building strong client relationships assisting in business development and expansion.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in acoustics or acoustics related discipline (e.g. physics, maths, environmental sciences or environmental health)

Experience

  • Experience of acoustic design work
  • Extensive knowledge of acoustics/sound masking
  • Ability to absorb technical information
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a high degree of interpersonal and team services skills
  • Experience of effective problem solving and using initiative
  • Excellent communication and time management skills

Duties

  • Provide volume control solutions to support acoustic requirements
  • Quotation and Contract management
  • Specification and technical guidance to clients, architects, designers, acoustic consultants, and main contractors across the UK
  • Attend design meetings
  • Input into business development plans and product lines
