An independent, well-established planning and design consultancy is seeking an Assistant Town Planner to join its growing team in Swindon. Operating for over three decades, this multidisciplinary consultancy has built a strong reputation for delivering planning, architecture and environmental services across the UK. Their work spans residential, commercial, education and mixed-use developments, supporting clients from early feasibility through to delivery.

The Role

You will support senior planners across multiple projects, gaining exposure to all aspects of the planning process. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals
  • Undertaking site appraisals and planning research
  • Preparing reports and supporting documentation
  • Liaising with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders
  • Supporting project coordination within a multidisciplinary team

About You

RTPI-accredited degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (or working towards) Some relevant experience, such as a placement year or previous role in consultancy or local authority Strong written and verbal communication skills.
