A growing and well-established multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint a Principal Transport Planning Consultant to join its expanding Transport Planning team in Godalming. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner to take a leading technical role within a growing consultancy, working on a diverse portfolio of development planning projects across the residential, commercial, education, healthcare, industrial and mixed-use sectors throughout the UK.
The Role
- Lead and manage a varied portfolio of development planning projects across the UK.
- Prepare, review and oversee Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, Technical Notes and Access Appraisals.
- Undertake and review junction capacity assessments using Junctions 11, PICADY, ARCADY and LinSig.
- Provide technical advice to clients from initial feasibility through to planning determination and post-consent support.
- Liaise with Local Planning Authorities, Highway Authorities, statutory consultees and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Mentor and support Graduate and Consultant-level Transport Planners.
- Undertake technical reviews and maintain high standards across project delivery.
- Maintain a strong understanding of current national and local transport planning policy and guidance.
- Contribute to fee proposals, project scopes and business development activities.
