The successful Principal Ecologist will play a key role in leading projects, mentoring junior staff and supporting clients through all stages of ecological assessment and mitigation. The Role:
The Principal Ecologist will be responsible for managing ecological projects, undertaking surveys, producing high-quality technical reports, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and supporting Biodiversity Net Gain and protected species work. The Principal Ecologist will also assist with mentoring and overseeing junior ecologists within the team.
Requirements:
- Significant ecology consultancy experience
- Strong project management and report writing skills
- Protected species survey experience and licence(s) desirable
- Membership of CIEEM preferred
- Full UK driving licence required
- Full right to work in the UK required
- Must live within a commutable distance of the office
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
