Senior Town Planner
Location: Winchester

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planning professional to take on more responsibility and play a key role in delivering a range of exciting and high profile projects across the South of England.

The Role
As a Senior Town Planner, you\’ll be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of planning projects, preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals, and providing high-quality advice to clients. You\’ll work closely with developers, landowners, architects and local authorities, playing a key part in the success of projects from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and delivering a range of planning applications and appeals
- Preparing planning statements, appraisals, and supporting documentation
- Undertaking site assessments and feasibility studies
- Liaising with clients, local authorities, and external consultants
- Representing the company at meetings, hearings, and public consultations
- Supporting junior colleagues and contributing to team development
- Assisting with business development and client relationship management
About You
The ideal Senior Town Planner will be proactive, commercially aware, and confident managing projects and client relationships. You\’ll be enthusiastic about planning and driven to deliver positive, high quality outcomes.
Requirements:
- RTPI accredited degree or postgraduate qualification
- MRTPI status (or working towards chartership)
- Relevant planning experience in consultancy or local authority
- Strong understanding of UK planning policy and the development management process
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines, and deliver consistently high quality work
