We are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a well-established engineering consultancy based in Crawley, offering a primarily remote working setup with occasional travel to site and office meetings. The successful Senior Geotechnical Engineer will take a leading role in project delivery, providing technical expertise on geotechnical design, ground investigations and reporting while supporting junior team members remotely and maintaining strong client relationships.
Qualifications and Experience
- Hold a degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering, or a related subject
- Have strong UK consultancy experience within geotechnics
- Be experienced in managing and interpreting ground investigations
- Have a solid understanding of foundation design, slope stability, and earthworks
- Be confident producing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports
- Be comfortable working independently within a remote environment
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Ideally be chartered or working towards chartership
Key Responsibilities
- Managing geotechnical projects from inception through to completion
- Producing detailed geotechnical assessments and recommendations
- Reviewing site investigation data and laboratory results
- Mentoring junior engineers and reviewing technical work
