I am recruiting for a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to join a leading environmental consultancy in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced consultant to take ownership of technical delivery while contributing to high quality, planning-led development projects.

This role covers flood risk assessments, drainage strategies and SuDS design across feasibility, masterplanning, outline design and planning submissions. You will provide technical leadership, work closely with clients and regulators, and help shape sustainable drainage solutions within multidisciplinary project teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies for development projects
  • Deliver drainage modelling and SuDS design using InfoDrainage or similar tools
  • Support feasibility studies, masterplanning and planning submissions
  • Liaise with clients, regulators and internal project teams
  • Provide mentoring and technical support to junior team members
  • Produce clear, robust and high quality technical reports and design outputs
About You
  • Minimum four years UK consultancy experience in flood risk and drainage
  • Strong drainage modelling and SuDS design capability
  • Good understanding of flood policy, the NPPF and the SuDS Manual
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple projects
