My client, a specialist UK based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy who specialise in Environmental Engineering and Hydrology, is searching for a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join an established team based in Manchester. It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, Surface Water Drainage Strategy and Residential Drainage Designs in respect of S104 and S106 using Microdrainage. It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience completing Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow. This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join a team of experienced Engineers to work on varied Flood Risk, Surface Water, Drainage, Hydrology and Infrastructure Projects for Private Sector Clients, Water Companies and Local Authorities. You will have the chance to be involved in residential, commercial, retail and renewable energy projects across the UK. Applicants will also be supported to complete the following; -Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1, 2 and 3. -Surface Water Management Plans. -Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategies. -Detailed Residential Drainage and Sewerage Design using AutoCAD and Microdrainage. -Drainage Area Planning. -Flood Risk Mapping. -Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.
