About the Role
The company is seeking an experienced Senior Energy & Sustainability Engineer to lead and deliver best-in-class sustainability solutions across projects of all sizes. This is a senior position suited to an engineer who enjoys leading change, mentoring others and working collaboratively across disciplines.
You will take ownership of energy and sustainability design, client liaison and quality control, while supporting business growth and the development of junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage energy and sustainability engineering on multiple projects
- Deliver dynamic thermal modelling using IESVE (Part L, TM52/TM59, daylighting, natural ventilation)
- Undertake and oversee BREEAM, SAP and EPC assessments
- Prepare high-quality energy strategies, sustainability statements and planning documentation
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage project performance and costs
- Support bids, proposals and client presentations
- Mentor and develop less experienced engineers (Experience with PHPP, whole life carbon, thermal bridging and circular economy principles is advantageous but not essential.)
About You
- Degree qualified in Building Services / Sustainability / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years' experience in energy and sustainability engineering (consultancy preferred)
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations (Part L/F, SAP, SBEM, thermal comfort)
- Qualified Domestic and/or Non-Domestic EPC Assessor
- Commercially aware, detail-focused and confident leading projects
- Chartership desirable
