This is a wonderful opportunity to join our client, a highly-regarded, expanding multidisciplinary consultancy, dedicated to broadening their geographical reach by establishing a brand-new office location in beautiful Scotland. Known for lending their expertise to a range of high‑profile projects across landscape architecture, planning, and civil engineering fields, they are currently on the lookout for an enthusiastic, experienced Senior Civil Engineer with extensive knowledge of infrastructure design, who is willing to take on a variety of challenging new projects. You will be working alongside a newly‑established team of design professionals, based near the scenic, conveniently‑located city of Dunfermline.

Responsibilities
- Contributing to the design of exciting projects and developments across the region
- Overseeing the day‑to‑day running of various projects, from inception through to successful delivery/implementation
- Mentoring and supporting colleagues during their professional development
- Liaising with clients and stakeholders across the public and private sectors
- Preparing and checking technical documents, including reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, and more
- Adhering to company policies, procedures, and best practice, ensuring you continually uphold the appropriate health and safety standards
- Acting as a company representative at client meetings, site visits, etc.
Required skills and experience
- A UK Bachelor\’s Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering (or a cognate discipline)
- Possess Chartered Status with a recognised professional body (e.g., ICE)
- Experience of working in a design‑based role, within a UK‑based consultancy or Local Authority setting
- Considerable experience of working on infrastructure (namely highways and drainage), housing developments, and energy projectsExperience of earthworks design and drainage network modelling
- Proficient in the use of various software systems (including Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Considerable experience of writing and checking a number of different technical documents
- Demonstrable experience of liaising with clients and stakeholders within the industry
- Outstanding organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Desirable skills and experience
- A Higher Degree in a cognate discipline
- Experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments
- Experience of preparing Transport Assessments
- Experience of leading projects/teams
- Experience of working in a public‑facing role
- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
