Daily Duties

  • Lead the design and delivery of retail architecture projects from concept through to completion
  • Coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams
  • Act as project lead on large food‑shopping retail schemes, ensuring client expectations and quality standards are met
  • Prepare and review architecturally detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Attend client meetings, design reviews and site visits to drive project outcomes
  • Mentor and guide junior architects and designers within the team
  • Ensure compliance with RIBA stages, building regulations and industry best practice

Ideal Candidate

  • RIBA Part III qualified with significant UK experience in retail architecture and commercial projects
  • Proven capability in leading large‑scale design projects, particularly within food shopping or retail sectors
  • Strong technical and design skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage clients and lead project teams
  • Self‑motivated, organised, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Proficient in architectural software including Revit, AutoCAD, and other design tools
  • A proactive team player with a collaborative approach to design and delivery
