A specialist UK-based Acoustic and Environmental Consultancy is seeking a Senior Acoustic Consultant to join its growing team in Alton, Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced acoustics professional to take the lead on a wide range of building and environmental acoustics projects across the South of England.

Essential Requirements:

  • A degree in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in acoustic consultancy.
  • Strong technical knowledge in building or environmental acoustics.
  • Proficiency with acoustic modelling software (e.g., CadnaA, SoundPLAN, Odeon, or CATT).
  • A full UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience:

  • Chartered status or working towards it (e.g., MIOA).
  • Experience in delivering BS4142, BS8233, BB93, and ProPG assessments.
  • Comfortable managing projects from start to finish, including liaising with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and contribute to internal training.

The Role:

You will be responsible for leading a variety of acoustics projects, with the opportunity to shape technical approaches and contribute to business development. Projects span sectors including residential, commercial, infrastructure, and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting and overseeing noise surveys and on-site measurements.
  • Acoustic modelling, data analysis, and technical reporting.
