Junior Architectural Technologist

A well-established architectural practice is looking to recruit a Junior Architectural Technologist to join its growing team near Salisbury.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical skills while working on a secure pipeline of projects for a major client, primarily within the residential sector, alongside community and commercial developments.

You'll work as part of an experienced team, supporting projects from technical design through to construction, with opportunities to gain valuable experience across RIBA Stage 4 and beyond.

The Role

  • Assist with producing technical drawings and construction information using Revit.
  • Support projects through technical design and delivery.
  • Assist with coordinating information from consultants, contractors and the wider design team.
  • Contribute to planning and Building Regulations submissions.
  • Help prepare drawing packages, schedules and specifications.
  • Attend design, coordination and site meetings as required.
  • Assist with ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Develop your knowledge of construction methods, detailing and UK Building Regulations.

Requirements

  • HNC/HND in Architectural Technology or a relevant qualification is desirable.
  • Some experience in an architectural or architectural technology role, either in practice or through relevant placement experience.
  • A good working knowledge of Revit, with a willingness to continue developing your skills.
  • An interest in technical design and construction detailing.
  • Ideally, some experience or knowledge of residential projects.
  • Commercial or community sector experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Good understanding of UK Building Regulations, or a willingness to develop this knowledge.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively within a team and meet deadlines.
