The Opportunity
A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking for a Principal Flood Risk & Hydrology Consultant to join its established water team. You will provide technical leadership across flood risk, hydrology and hydraulic modelling while remaining closely involved in project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead flood risk, hydrology and hydraulic modelling work
- Review complex hydraulic models and Flood Risk Assessments
- Provide technical advice across infrastructure and development projects
- Support climate adaptation and water environment assessments
- Manage project delivery and client relationships
- Work with multidisciplinary design and environmental teams
- Mentor junior and mid-level consultants and modellers
- Support proposals, work winning and development of the technical service
Candidate Requirements
- Strong consultancy experience in flood risk and hydrology
- Chartered professional status or working towards Chartership
- Advanced hydraulic modelling and technical review capability
- Experience delivering complex Flood Risk Assessments and hydrological studies
- Strong client-facing and project management skills
- Experience mentoring and developing technical staff
