A small, highly talented environmental and geotechnical consultancy based in Reading is looking to recruit a Graduate Geoenvironmental Engineer to join their close-knit team. This is a great opportunity for a graduate who wants to gain hands-on experience in the ground investigation industry. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects across commercial and infrastructure sectors.
You will be supported by experienced engineers and consultants while gaining practical experience across site investigations, contaminated land assessments and reporting.
The role will include:
- Assisting with Phase 1 desk studies and site walkovers
- Supporting Phase 2 intrusive ground investigations
- Soil, groundwater and gas sampling
- Logging soils and assisting with factual and interpretative reports
- Working closely with senior engineers on a variety of projects
- A good balance of site and office-based work
Essential Criteria
- A degree in Geoenvironmental Science, Geology, Environmental Science or similar
- Some site investigation or consultancy experience (placement or graduate role beneficial but not essential)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Must live within a commutable distance from the Reading office
