Are you a Principal Project Director ready to take full ownership of project delivery, team leadership and client relationships within a growing consultancy in Glasgow? A well-established engineering consultancy with around 60 staff is continuing to grow its civil engineering capability across Scotland and the north of England. As a Principal Project Director, you will play a central role within a close-knit Glasgow civils team, leading the delivery of development infrastructure projects across industrial, commercial, residential and education sectors. The business operates with a strong office-based culture, encouraging collaboration, design quality and team engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of development infrastructure projects from concept through to construction
  • Oversee roads, drainage and earthworks design across multiple schemes
  • Manage client relationships and act as a key point of contact
  • Support business development, fee proposals and project resourcing
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to engineers and technicians
  • Ensure quality, compliance and programme delivery across projects
Candidate requirements
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or similar
  • Significant UK consultancy experience in development infrastructure
  • Strong background in roads, drainage and infrastructure design
  • Proven leadership and client-facing experience
  • Chartered status or equivalent level of experience
  • Commercial awareness and experience supporting project growth
