The Principal Geotechnical Engineer selected will have a variety of responsibilities. These include:
- Building and leading a ground investigation team through a variety of projects, ensuring smooth development and delivery, project managing at times.
- Liaising closely with clients, contributing to business development, contract managing, tendering and team development.
- Overseeing site and report work.
- Mentoring junior team members.
As a result, the Principal Geotechnical Engineer role requires previous experience in a similar role, with extensive knowledge of site investigation practices. You should have an industry relevant degree (for example geology, geotechnical engineering, environmental science etc), ideally have or be working towards chartership, hold a full UK Driving Licence, have a full right to work in the UK and be commutable to the Nottingham area.
