Are you a Principal Geoenvironmental Engineer with a strong background in business development? An exciting opportunity has arisen in London for a senior geoenvironmental professional to join a well-established environmental and engineering consultancy at a strategic level. This role offers a genuine blend of technical leadership, project delivery, and business growth, with the chance to play a key role in shaping the future direction of the geoenvironmental team.
You will be trusted to lead major projects, manage key client relationships, and actively contribute to winning new work across the London and South East market.
The role will include:
- Leading and overseeing complex geoenvironmental projects from bid stage through to delivery
- Acting as a technical authority for contaminated land and ground risk assessments
- Preparing and reviewing Phase 1, Phase 2, and remediation strategy reports
- Managing and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers
- Driving business development activity, including:
- Identifying and securing new opportunities
- Developing and maintaining key client relationships
- Supporting bid writing, fee proposals, and tenders
About you:
- Degree qualified in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
- Extensive experience in geoenvironmental / contaminated land consultancy
- Proven track record in business development and client management
- Strong technical knowledge of UK environmental legislation and guidance
- Chartered (or working towards) status preferred
- Commercially aware with excellent communication skills
