Job Title: Principal Ecologist
Location: Petersfield, Hampshire

Salary: Circa 50,000

Join a rapidly expanding, family-run contractor and consultancy that specialises in providing services within the rail, forestry, and environmental sectors. This fast-growing company is expanding its in-house environmental team and looking for a Principal Ecologist to help drive their success.

In this full-time, permanent role, you will manage and oversee ecological services across a range of exciting projects. You will manage Ecological Site Surveys, produce Preliminary Ecological Assessments, and assist in Ecological Impact and Habitat Regulation Assessments. Additionally, you’ll lead and assist in Protected Species Surveys and play an active role in data analysis, report writing, and designing mitigation measures.

Principal Ecologist Requirements:

• Extensive experience within Ecological consultancy
• Protected Species Licence(s)
• Extensive knowledge of and experience working with UK protected species and relevant legislation
• Full UK driving licence
• Project management experience
