PRINCIPAL CIVIL ENGINEER

You will be anchored to the Ringwood office, working closely with a highly capable regional team while supporting major residential, commercial and mixed-use developments across the UK. Projects are client-led and national in nature, offering variety and technical challenge while maintaining a sensible hybrid working balance.
The role
As a Principal Civil Engineer, you will take ownership of complex infrastructure packages and help set technical standards across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Leading and checking highways, drainage and external works designs
- Delivering S38, S278, S104 and S98 schemes to approval and construction
- Producing and reviewing drainage strategies, SuDS and pumping station designs
- Coordinating multidisciplinary inputs and managing technical risk
- Liaising with clients, local authorities and contractors
- Mentoring engineers and technicians and driving quality across teams
About you
This role suits an experienced Principal Civil Engineer ready to lead.
You will ideally have
- A degree or HNC in Civil Engineering
- Strong experience delivering development infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage
- Chartered status or clear progress toward it
- Confident communication and technical leadership skills
