A well-established and respected independent planning consultancy is seeking a Senior Town Planner to join its growing team in the North West. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner to take on a key role within a supportive, professional consultancy known for delivering high-quality planning advice.
The Opportunity
You will be involved in a broad mix of projects across the region, with the chance to manage work from early-stage strategy through to determination and delivery. The role offers genuine autonomy, strong client exposure, and clear progression within a stable and growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing planning applications, appeals, and pre-application submissions
- Providing strategic planning advice across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments
- Preparing high-quality planning statements and supporting documents
- Liaising with local planning authorities, consultees and stakeholders
- Managing projects and timelines effectively
- Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team
- Contributing to client relationships and repeat business
About You
- MRTPI qualified (or close to chartership with relevant experience)
- Background in UK planning consultancy or local authority
- Strong understanding of the UK planning system
- Confident communicator with good report-writing skills
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects
