Recognised as one of the region's most respected developers, the company has built a reputation for delivering high-quality residential projects ranging from 30 to 200-unit developments. With a strong pipeline of future land promotions and planning applications, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant housing projects that shape local communities. About the Role: Reporting to the Land and Planning Director, the Planning Manager will play a crucial role in managing the planning process from site inception to securing approvals. You will work on a diverse range of residential projects, engaging with stakeholders, managing planning applications, and ensuring smooth project progression. Key Responsibilities: Managing the submission of planning applications and appeals to local planning authorities. Preparing planning applications, conditions, and appeal documentation. Conducting research on planning policies and previous applications to inform strategy. Liaising with local authorities, planning officers, and key stakeholders. Representing the company at planning committee meetings and public consultations. Monitoring and reviewing local planning policies, including Local Plan Reviews. Collaborating with external consultants, engineers, and legal teams. Ensuring compliance with planning regulations and maintaining accurate records. Requirements: A degree in Urban Planning, Geography, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience in planning, either within a consultancy, local authority, or residential developer. Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and development policies. Experience managing residential planning applications from inception to approval. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
