Are you a recent Geophysics graduate looking to develop your career within a specialist ground investigation and geoscience environment? We are looking for a Graduate Geophysicist to join an experienced team delivering a range of near-surface geophysical surveys and ground investigation projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to gain hands-on experience working on varied projects, combining fieldwork, data processing, interpretation and reporting.

The role will involve supporting geophysical investigations across a range of sectors, including infrastructure, environmental, engineering and development projects. You will receive full training and mentoring while developing your technical skills across a variety of geophysical methods.

The Graduate Geophysicist role will involve:

  • Assisting with geophysical surveys using a range of techniques including GPR, ERT, seismic, magnetics and electromagnetic methods
  • Collecting, processing and interpreting geophysical data
  • Producing technical reports, drawings and interpretative outputs
  • Supporting field investigations and site-based activities across the UK
  • Working alongside experienced geophysicists, engineers and environmental professionals
  • Travelling to project sites and supporting survey delivery

To be considered for the Graduate Geophysicist position, you should have:

  • A degree in Geophysics, Geoscience, Earth Sciences or a related subject
  • An interest in near-surface geophysics and ground investigation
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret technical data
  • A willingness to work outdoors and travel to site when required
  • A full UK driving licence (or working towards one) would be beneficial
