Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading property and land consultancy in the appointment of a Junior Town Planner to join their growing planning team in Cambridge.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious planning professional looking to develop their career within a well-established consultancy.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to a varied portfolio of projects, working closely with experienced planners, landowners, developers and other property professionals.
The Role
- Assist with a wide range of planning applications and development projects.
- Undertake planning research and provide support on planning matters.
- Assist with the preparation of planning statements, reports and other documentation.
- Support senior colleagues with client instructions and project delivery.
- Liaise with local planning authorities, consultants and other stakeholders.
- Monitor planning policies and emerging development plans.
- Assist with site appraisals and planning assessments.
- Gain experience across a varied range of sectors and development projects.
- Contribute to the continued growth and success of the planning team.
About You
- Degree qualified in Town Planning or a related subject.
- Ideally working towards MRTPI or keen to progress towards chartership.
- Able to demonstrate some relevant planning experience, whether within consultancy, local government or another planning environment.
- Organised, proactive and commercially aware.
- A confident communicator with strong written and analytical skills.
- Keen to develop their technical planning knowledge and professional career.
- Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a wider team.
- Ambitious and motivated to progress within a growing consultancy.
