Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting Ayerst Environmental in their search for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join their growing team in Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a dual-qualified Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join a well-established asbestos consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality asbestos services across the South East.

The successful candidate will undertake a varied mix of surveying and analytical duties across commercial, industrial, public sector, and residential properties.

THE ROLE

As an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, you will be responsible for carrying out both asbestos surveying and analytical duties across a diverse portfolio of client sites throughout Kent and the surrounding region. Working independently and alongside an experienced technical team, the Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst will ensure all work is completed to the highest standard while maintaining full compliance with current HSE guidance and UKAS procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducting Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264
  • Undertaking air monitoring, four-stage clearances, reassurance testing, leak testing, and smoke testing in accordance with HSG248
  • Producing accurate, detailed, and compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports
  • Carrying out bulk sampling and maintaining accurate site records
  • Working across commercial, industrial, public sector, and residential properties
  • Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS standards

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
  • Strong understanding of asbestos legislation and UKAS requirements
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills
  • Ability to manage workloads independently
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Professional, reliable, and quality-focused approach to work
