The Role

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple heat network contracts, ensuring exceptional service delivery whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and customer satisfaction. You’ll provide leadership from the front, supporting engineers technically where required, mentoring future managers and ensuring commercial performance is achieved across your portfolio. The role combines operational management, client relationship management, technical leadership and commercial responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of Heat Network maintenance and service contracts
  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of engineers
  • Deliver excellent customer service across all contracts
  • Ensure PPM and reactive maintenance programmes are delivered to SLA
  • Develop strong client relationships and attend regular review meetings
  • Provide technical support to engineers when required
  • Produce quotations and operational reports
  • Monitor contract performance, profitability and productivity
  • Assist with mobilisation of new contracts
  • Carry out engineer appraisals, mentoring and recruitment
  • Promote Health & Safety and compliance across all sites
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiencies
  • Support business growth through outstanding service delivery and contract retention.

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll ideally have experience managing engineers on commercial maintenance contracts together with a strong understanding of heating systems, HVAC or Heat Networks. You’ll possess:

  • Previous Operations, Contract or Engineering Management experience
  • Strong mechanical or HVAC background
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Commercial awareness with responsibility for budgets and contract performance
  • Experience managing client relationships
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Health & Safety awareness
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience using CAFM systems would be advantageous.
