The Role
As a Town Planner, you will assist in delivering planning consultancy services to a wide range of clients. Your responsibilities will include preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals, conducting site appraisals, research, and policy review, and liaising with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and supporting documentation
- Undertake site appraisals, feasibility studies, and policy research
- Draft planning statements, design and access statements, and supporting reports
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, consultants, and stakeholders as required
- Attend site visits, consultations, and meetings
- Provide general planning support and contribute to project delivery and business development
About You
We are seeking a proactive and organised Town Planner who is keen to grow their career within a consultancy environment. You will have strong communication skills, good project awareness and a genuine interest in planning and development.
Requirements:
- Accredited degree or equivalent qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline
- Some experience in a planning setting (consultancy, local authority or developer environment)
- Knowledge of UK planning policy and processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisational abilities and attention to detail
- A positive, flexible, and team oriented approach
