A specialist UK-based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy is looking for a Noise Monitoring Technician to join their growing acoustics team to be remotely based in the East Midlands.
Essential Requirements
- A degree in Acoustics (or a related subject) - MSc or BSc level.
- Around 1-2 years' experience working with a UK consultancy.
- Tech IOA membership (or higher).
- Either completed - or happy to complete - the IOA Certificate of Competence in Environmental Noise Measurement.
- Great attention to detail and strong note-taking skills.
- Comfortable working alone and travelling around the UK (a company van is provided).
It would be great if you also have:
- Hands-on experience calibrating and maintaining noise monitoring equipment.
- Some exposure to Rail, Traffic, or Transportation projects.
The Role
- Carrying out background and operational noise surveys across different sites.
- Making sure monitoring equipment is clean, well-maintained, and properly calibrated.
- Preparing clear, accurate survey reports.
- Working closely with the wider acoustics and environmental teams.
