An established and growing planning consultancy is looking to appoint a Graduate Town Planner to join its team in Newmarket. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate (or someone early in their planning career) to gain hands-on experience across a diverse portfolio of projects while being supported in their professional development.

The Role

  • Work closely with experienced planners and consultants, supporting on a wide range of planning applications and projects across sectors such as residential, commercial, and rural development.
  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals.
  • Conducting site appraisals and planning research.
  • Supporting the preparation of planning statements and reports.
  • Liaising with local authorities, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Keeping up to date with planning policy and legislation.

About You

  • A degree (or postgraduate qualification) in Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • An interest in working towards MRTPI accreditation (support will be provided).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable.
