Due to continued growth and a strong forward workload, my client is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join the Leeds team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a leading private engineering consultancy, delivering a diverse range of UK-based projects across the residential, retail, commercial, leisure, education, and industrial sectors.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a civil engineering team on projects ranging from single-building developments to large-scale schemes across multiple sectors
- Utilise and demonstrate strong experience in Civil 3D
- Design civil infrastructure including adoptable roads and drainage systems for residential, commercial, retail, education, and industrial developments
- Liaise with statutory authorities such as water companies, environmental regulators, and highway authorities
- Use relevant technical analysis and design software, including AutoCAD, to a high standard
- Ensure the quality and consistency of technical outputs, including drawings and reports
- Mentor and support junior engineers
- Attend and contribute to design meetings, site meetings, and site inspections
- Communicate professionally with clients, contractors, and design teams, providing technical advice where required
- Manage work in line with agreed budgets and programme deadlines
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil & Structural Engineering (essential)
- Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience
- High proficiency in Civil 3D (essential)
- Chartership status is desirable
