Key Responsibilities

  • Leading planning projects from concept to completion, ensuring exceptional outcomes.
  • Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals, and associated documentation.
  • Conducting site appraisals, feasibility studies, and planning assessments.
  • Advising clients on planning policies, regulations, and strategic approaches.
  • Engaging with local authorities, stakeholders, and industry professionals to secure successful outcomes.
  • Representing clients during planning committees, public consultations, and appeals.
  • Mentoring junior team members to foster growth within the team.
  • Staying informed on updates to planning legislation and best practices.

Your Expertise

  • A degree in Town Planning (or a related field) with RTPI (Royal Town Planning Institute) membership or eligibility for membership.
  • Significant experience in a planning consultancy or local authority setting, with in-depth knowledge of the UK planning system.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, concise reports.
  • Exceptional project management skills with a demonstrated ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, solution-driven approach to challenges.
  • Confident communication and engagement skills when working with clients, stakeholders, and authorities.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits.
