The Role

You will play a key role in the preparation, management and delivery of planning applications, providing robust planning advice and contributing to high-quality outcomes for clients. The position offers genuine scope for progression and increased responsibility, depending on experience.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and supporting planning applications across a range of development types
  • Undertaking policy analysis and building clear, well-reasoned planning cases

  • Supporting junior staff (at Senior level) and assisting with project coordination

About You

Our client is ideally seeking someone with:

  • RTPI Accredited Degree
  • Relevant professional planning experience (public or private sector)
  • Strong, demonstrable experience in development management, including policy interpretation and application case-making
  • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to work on your own initiative
  • Experience of working within multi-disciplinary teams (project management experience is advantageous but not essential)

Working Arrangements

This role requires a significant in-office presence at the Manchester city centre office to support collaboration and team working. While there is some flexibility in practice, this opportunity will best suit candidates who are comfortable with a predominantly office-based role rather than a fully hybrid expectation.
