An established environmental and engineering consultancy is looking to recruit a Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant to join its growing Manchester team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide variety of brownfield redevelopment, infrastructure and industrial projects while taking on greater responsibility in project delivery, mentoring junior staff and client management.

You'll be joining a collaborative multidisciplinary team with a strong pipeline of work and genuine opportunities to progress into more senior technical and project management positions.

The Role

As a Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing contaminated land and geoenvironmental projects from inception through to completion.
  • Designing, supervising and interpreting ground investigations.
  • Producing Phase 1 Desk Studies, Phase 2 Interpretative Reports and Remediation Strategies.
  • Completing generic and detailed quantitative risk assessments.
  • Liaising with regulators, clients, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Managing project programmes, budgets and resource allocation.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior consultants.
  • Contributing to business development and maintaining strong client relationships.
Requirements
  • Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering Geology or a related discipline.
  • Several years' UK consultancy experience in geoenvironmental or contaminated land.
  • Strong report writing and technical interpretation skills.
  • Experience managing projects and clients.
  • Knowledge of current UK contaminated land guidance and legislation.
  • Full UK driving licence.
