An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant to join a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy in Manchester. This role offers the chance to work on a broad range of brownfield redevelopment, contaminated land and ground investigation projects across the North West and throughout the UK.
The successful candidate will join a growing and collaborative geo team with a strong project pipeline spanning residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure developments. This position offers excellent career progression, project ownership and the opportunity to mentor junior staff within a supportive environment.
The Role
- Managing and delivering geoenvironmental and contaminated land projects from tender stage through to completion
- Designing and supervising ground investigations
- Producing Phase 1 Desk Studies, Phase 2 Ground Investigation Reports and Remediation Strategies
- Conducting qualitative and quantitative risk assessments
- Liaising with clients, contractors and regulators
- Managing project budgets and timelines
- Mentoring and supporting junior consultants and graduates
- Assisting with business development and client relationship management
Requirements
- Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering or a related subject
- Previous consultancy experience within contaminated land and geoenvironmental engineering
- Strong reporting and project management skills
- Experience supervising site investigations and contractors
- Good understanding of current UK contaminated land guidance and legislation
- Full UK driving licence
- Chartered status or working towards chartership would be advantageous
