Penguin Recruitment is supporting a well-established and growing planning, urbanism and development consultancy in their search for a Director of Town Planning to lead and expand their London presence. This is a senior leadership opportunity offering genuine autonomy, strategic influence, and the chance to build and shape a high-performing London team within a nationally active consultancy.
The Role
Based in London, you will take a leading role in growing the consultancy's London and South East offering. Supported by an existing Associate, you will be responsible for:
- Originating and securing new planning instructions
- Developing and strengthening key client relationships
- Leading and delivering complex planning and development projects
- Growing and mentoring a successful London-based team
- Playing a key role in the wider business growth strategy
This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of your network and play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the business.
About You
The successful candidate is likely to have:
- Extensive experience within the London and South East planning markets
- A strong and active client network
- Proven expertise in managing and delivering planning strategies and development proposals
- Chartered Membership of the RTPI (preferred)
- Commercial awareness and a desire to contribute at board/leadership level
