A great opportunity has arisen for a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to join a leading environmental consultancy in London. You will take responsibility for delivering flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, SuDS design and planning led solutions for a wide range of development projects.
As a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant, you will work across feasibility, masterplanning, outline design and planning submissions. You will contribute technical leadership, liaise with clients and regulators, and play an active part in ensuring high quality, sustainable design across multi disciplinary schemes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies.
- Develop drainage models and SuDS proposals using InfoDrainage or similar tools.
- Support planning documentation, feasibility studies and design integration.
- Work closely with internal teams, planning specialists and external consultants.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development.
- Produce high quality written reports and design outputs.
- Minimum four years' experience in flood risk and drainage consultancy.
- Skilled in drainage modelling and SuDS design.
- Good understanding of flood related policy, the NPPF and SuDS Manual.
- Confident using AutoCAD and GIS.
- Strong communicator with excellent reporting skills.
- Proactive, organised and comfortable managing multiple projects.
