This is a fantastic opportunity for a Town Planner to join a growing and dynamic consultancy, working across a diverse portfolio of projects including residential, commercial, and mixed‑use developments. The successful candidate will benefit from hands‑on project involvement and strong client exposure within a supportive and collaborative environment.
THE ROLE
As a Town Planner, you will be involved in delivering planning projects from initial appraisal through to submission and determination. You will manage your own schemes while supporting senior team members on more complex developments, continuing to develop your skills and experience as a Town Planner within a professional team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing planning applications and appeals
- Preparing high‑quality planning reports and supporting documentation
- Undertaking site appraisals and feasibility assessments
- Liaising with Local Planning Authorities and key stakeholders
- Attending client meetings, site visits, and consultations
- Supporting senior team members on larger and more complex projects
- Assisting with project coordination and delivery
- Contributing to business development and networking activities
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- RTPI accredited degree in Town Planning or related discipline
- MRTPI qualified (Chartered) - essential
- Circa 5 years' experience within a planning consultancy environment
- Strong understanding of the UK planning system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- A proactive and commercially aware approach
